Globally, downy mildew threatens fields as far flung as India, Israel, Mexico and China.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the number one threat to the pickle industry,&#8221; says vegetable pathologist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ces.ncsu.edu\/profile\/lina-quesada-ocampo\/\">Lina Quesada-Ocampo<\/a>\u00a0of North Carolina State University.
